Young Architect, Palak Chopra, principal architect of DesignDrama by Palak, is gradually redefining the taste of Bhopal home interiors, winning the recent EAIDA for promising and innovative architecture and interior design firm, Madhya Pradesh. Delve into the tasteful interiors of two of her projects: A Lryic in Lotus – elegance dipped in ornamentation and House of Neutrals – a minimalist stand apart in the decorative city of Bhopal.
A Lyric in Lotus:
Crafted with the vision of a haven for a multigenerational family, this home epitomizes serenity and timeless elegance. Warm walnut wood tones, interwoven with vibrant accents of alor, envelop the space, creating an atmosphere of warmth and comfort. Throughout the home, graceful arches elegantly frame each vista, adding depth and intrigue to the visual narrative. The design is envisaged as an interpretation of the overarching motif the lotus.
Upon entering, the foyer welcomes guests with custom-made, otus-inspired handles adorning the doors. The bespoke floral chandelier casts a soft glow, setting the tone for the entire residence.
In every detail, from the intricate lotus-inspired motifs to the thoughtfully curated color pallets, this home stands as a testament to the power of design to create not only beautiful spaces but also cherished havens for generations to come.
House of Neutrals:
Stepping through the threshold of this house, one is embraced by a serene ambiance, as a palpable sense of tranquillity permeates every corner. The predominantly white scheme serves as a canvas for the interplay of textures, infusing the space with depth and visual intrigue. In the drawing room, a captivating art piece serves as the focal point, its textured surface offering a striking contrast against the glossy surroundings. Accents of metal in the panelling flanked by marble finished lamps add a touch of luxury.
Throughout the home, pockets of greenery are thoughtfully placed, infusing the interiors with vitality and providing a refreshing juxtaposition against the pristine white backdrop.
